At FYAA, we take pride in being a community partner dedicated to promoting active play for our area youth. As part of our commitment to fostering a love for sports and healthy lifestyles, we are excited to share a range of soccer camps and training opportunities for our young athletes as they are shared with us.
SUMMER
Summer Soccer // Lynchburg Sports Association
Now in its 4th year, the program is overseen by JF Boys Head Soccer Coach Scott Zaring. It will have licensed coaches running each age group, assisted by local college players. Future posts on the FYAA Soccer Facebook page will provide details on some of our coaches. We have expanded our offerings for the summer and modified the pricing structure to provide more options. We are offering the following age groups, designed so kids on the upper end of an age group can register for whichever is appropriate.
Hotshots: 3 & 4 year olds. 8 sessions at TJES in June.
U8: 2016-2019 birthdays. Tuesdays and Thursday training with Saturday game days at TJES in June and July (see signup options below)
U10: 2014-2016 birthdays. Monday and Wednesday training with Saturday game days at NLA in June and July (see signup options below)
U12: 2012-2014 birthdays Monday and Wednesday training with Saturday game days at FYAA/JFHS in June and July (see signup options below)
U18 Elite Academy: 12 sessions Monday and Wednesday at FYAA/JFHS in June and July.
Planning to miss some sessions/games? No problem! Because we anticipate players will be missing intermittently over the summer, this program will be run with "pool" training. What this means is the whole age group will meet for training on the same nights and will split up into groups based on who is attending on a given night. The same is true for games; instead of making set teams, we will divide teams up for games based on who is available on a given day. This program will be run in-house meaning all games will be in Forest.
Players who have participated in this program in the past have used it to make strides over the summer and launch into their fall season. Sign up today and get ready to take your game to the next level!
We are also offering the ability to sign up for Cavalier Summer Camp through FYAA which will be run by the JFHS Cavalier boys soccer program. Signing up through FYAA gives the option for a bundling discount with our summer sessions.

Summer Series I (U8-U12)
- June 3 – June 29, off June 24-27 (10 Sessions).
Summer Series II (U8-U12)
- July 1 – July 27, off July 2–5 (10 sessions).
Cavalier Summer Camp (Grades K-8)
- June 24-27 for grades K-8.
Elite Academy (Ages 13+)
- Ages 13+. Limited spots available. (12 sessions)
Liberty University Men's Soccer Camp
We are thrilled to extend a special invitation to our esteemed youth soccer camp, a tradition of excellence and fun that Coach Findley and our dedicated staff have proudly brought to your club over the years. This summer, we’re back with an experience designed to inspire and challenge every young athlete, from recreational to premier levels. Join us from June 3rd to June 7th, 2024, at Liberty University for a week filled with soccer, growth, and unforgettable memories!
Camp Highlights:
- Comprehensive Skill Development: Each morning begins with focused training on essential skills like passing, receiving, dribbling, and turning, taught by our experienced coaches. These skills are honed through small-sided games and engaging activities, ensuring every player sees improvement.
- Afternoon Competitions: The afternoons are reserved for games and competition ladders, where we integrate morning lessons with basic attacking and defensive strategies, providing a holistic soccer education.
Exclusive Elite Package: For the dedicated player seeking a challenge, our Elite Package offers a rigorous experience with Liberty’s finest coaches. This is a unique opportunity for advanced players to push their limits and excel in a competitive environment.
Prepare for Camp: Don’t forget your molded cleats, sneakers, shin guards, a water bottle, and a well-labeled soccer ball. While lunch is not provided, a selection of pizza, drinks, and snacks will be available for purchase.
