Sideline Cheer

FYAA Sideline Cheer Information

FYAA offers a recreational, development-based youth sideline cheer program for ages 5-13. The purpose of recreational sideline cheer is to provide an opportunity for the youth athletes to have fun in a safe and supportive environment. Sportsmanship and safety are the cornerstones of our program, and our volunteer coaches are committed to equally developing all cheerleaders.

The FYAA Sideline Cheer program is open to all applicants regardless of skill level. Registration is offered in the fall season. The division registered for will depend on their age.

Practices

Fall practices begin in August. Teams practice three days per week.

Games

Sideline cheer coincides the FYAA Tackle Football games. Most games are held on Saturdays. Fall games start the weekend before Labor Day and typically end in late October or early November.

FYAA Sideline Cheer and Football play in the Seminole District Youth Football League (SDYFL). Teams will travel for away games with tackle football. Home games will be played at FYAA park.

Game schedules are cooperatively scheduled through SDYFL. Locations of away games can be found on our website and SDYFL. Also away game STATUS is often updated on Facebook. Check before you drive to see if an away game has been postponed.

Forming Teams

Depending on the number of participants in each age group, rosters are formed under the supervision of the Cheer Commissioner and FYAA Administrator.

Practices and games will be held at FYAA Park Complex (Nissan Field).
