BASEBALL
FYAA Baseball provides a safe, inclusive, and positive environment that focuses on developing the core values of teamwork, discipline, respect, and citizenship in all our youth athletes through the game of baseball. FYAA Baseball is part of Little League Baseball and offers an entry level, recreational opportunity for ages 4-16. Little League residency boundaries are required to be followed.
FYAA Baseball is offered as a Spring and Fall Sport.
BASKETBALL
Forest Youth Basketball is a development-based youth program that offers opportunities for players at every level for ages 5-18. Sportsmanship and safety are the cornerstones of our program, and our volunteer coaches are committed to equally developing all players. While basketball fundamentals are at the heart of our instruction, we also focus on fostering a love of the game. Players are encouraged to work on individual skills and then strive to become a contributing member of their team.
Registration begins on October 1 of each year
FYAA Basketball is offered as a Winter Sport.
CHEERLEADING
Forest Youth cheerleading offers a rewarding and fun experience for all levels with an emphasis on both teamwork and individual accomplishment. Cheerleading requires stamina, concentration and regular practice as a team. Throughout the season your child will learn cheerleading fundamentals, sportsmanship, leadership, and teamwork that are appropriate for each age level.
FYAA Cheerleading is offered as a Fall Sport.
FLAG FOOTBALL
Forest Youth Flag Football program offers a recreational coed league. Flag Football is much less time-demanding than Tackle and can be played as a secondary sport to other spring sports. We participate with NFL Flag Football. Each team will have one practice on weekdays. All games are played on Sunday afternoons.
FYAA Flag Football is offered as a Spring Sport.
LACROSSE
Forest Youth Lacrosse offers a recreational entry level opportunity to learn the fast-paced game of lacrosse and to enjoy athletics and competition. We love to give kids their first lacrosse experience. All ages and abilities are welcome to register. Free loaner equipment for first year players.
FYAA Lacrosse is offered as a Spring and Fall Sport.
SOCCER
The FYAA soccer program is run in cooperation with the Central Virginia Regional Soccer Association under Bedford County Parks and Recreation. We offer soccer in both spring and fall. Registrations begin in January and June respectively.
The league your child will play in is based on the year they are born. Please see the chart below to determine which age group your child will participate in.

TACKLE FOOTBALL
FYAA Forest Tackle Football is a recreational development program. We strive to provide a fun, safe, and positive experience for you and your child. This is accomplished through emphasis on sportsmanship, team play, self-discipline, maximum effort, integrity, and maximum participation in a FUN environment. Forest Football is a member of the Seminole District Youth Football League. All games are on Saturdays (there are also possible games locally on weeknights). Teams practice three days per week.
FYAA Tackle Football is offered as a Fall Sport.
