FYAA Discounts + Financial Aid Information
We believe that no child should be turned away if they have a desire to play. We make every effort to be inclusive. However, our organization is privately funded and we rely on registration fees, donations, sponsorships, community partnerships, and local volunteers to serve local youth who want the opportunity to play sports.
Did you know.... ? We only receive approximately 18% of the fees from Bedford County? That means for the remaining funds needed for a season comes from players fees, and donations from parents, grandparents, sponsors and supporters of our great program. Thank you for the generous donations!!
In an effort to support families of all abilities, we have some discounts and opportunities for partial scholarships available as follows:
DISCOUNTS
- Early Registration Discount: ($15 off) available for the first month of registration and applied automatically during checkout. Tackle football is excluded from this discount.
- Multi-Sibling Discount: ($25 off) available when adding a 2nd, 3rd or 4th child. Discount is applied automatically if it is within the SAME sport. If it across different sports, please complete this form to receive your specific discount code.
- Multi-Sport Discount: ($25 off) available if your child is playing more than one sport. Please complete this form to receive your specific discount code.
FINANCIAL AID
If you are experiencing financial difficulties, FYAA will work with you to ensure that all children who want to play have that opportunity. We have a limited number of scholarships available; please complete this form to apply.
Families requesting Financial Aid will be required to provide the proper documentation. Registration fees cannot be adjusted without the documentation, and registration is not complete until payment is submitted.
In addition to the scholarship assistance offered by FYAA, grant funding is available through Dick's Sporting Goods and All Kids Play to families who lack the resources to pay for youth sports. More information and applications can be found by clicking on the links above.
NEED FINANCIAL SUPPORT FROM FYAA?
Partial scholarship assistance is available.
INSTRUCTIONS: For those requesting financial assistance, FYAA is requiring a $30 registration to accompany the application. Thank you for your support.
NOTE: If using the Eligibility Letter as a form of documentation, a valid letter needs to be on file (for the current school year), thus you are required to re-apply for assistance each school year.
- You MUST complete the financial aid request form (see below for qualifications) and provide completed application and supporting documentation to FYAA
- Your registration is NOT COMPLETE until the completed form is received by FYAA
- If you have received this scholarship in previous years, you still need to complete the registration and forms
- Scan or take a picture and send to admin@forestyouth.org
- You MUST REGISTER the player online with the provided discount code
- Once approved, you will be given a specific discount code for registration and will be required to pay a portion of the player fee - $30.

Do you currently receive assistance from Bedford County (see list below)?
- Free or reduced school lunch (this Eligibility Letter needs to be current - each school year a new one must be supplied)
- Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- General Relief
- Food Stamps
- Aid for Dependent Children
- Foster Care
- Medicaid
- Social Security Income
Fill out the form and include required documentation (with a county official signature on the form OR a copy of the county letter of eligibility included OR a copy of medicaid/medicare card/form included)

FYAA Program Registration Fees
Effective June 1, 2024, FYAA registration fees will be adjusted as part of the approved program improvement plan. These increases will address rising operational and contractual costs, including referees, staffing, and equipment needs, as well as enable us to continue to offer a variety of quality sports program offerings.

FYAA runs as an almost entirely volunteer-based organization with incredible community support from participating families, local businesses, and trusted partnerships. If you are interested in getting more involved, please contact the FYAA office at admin@forestyouth.org. The Board of Directors meets monthly on the third Thursday. Minutes from the meetings are available for your review in the FYAA office.
